Arsenal FC has completed signing of France International Alexandre Lacazette for the world record-breaking fee of £52 million pounds.
The French striker who flourished with the Ligue 1 side Olympic Lyon last season, has expressed joy for finally joining and to play football for Arsenal lead Asene Wenger in the Premier.
The 26-year-old said that he has realised a dream by following in the footsteps of French greats who have played for the Gunners, including Thierry Henry.
When asked how it felt to sign for the North London club, Lacazette told Arsenal Media: “I am, of course, very delighted and proud too because Arsenal is a legendary club.
“Throughout my childhood, thanks to Thierry Henry and other French players, I always dreamed of playing for this club so today that dream has been fulfilled.
“I like clubs with history – Also the fact that the manager has been here for a while shows that it is a stable club, which I like.
“In my opinion Arsenal is also the club that plays the best football in England so I really wanted to come here.
“When I play I like to use my pace and to link up with my team-mates – As a forward I like to score goals, of course, but that’s not all I’m about.
“I love good flowing football where the whole team is engaged
Alexandre Lacazette was the second highest goal scorer for former club Lyon and He’s expected to replicate that great form to help Arsenal compete heavily for 2017 – 2018 Premier League title.
