Freda Rythmz wins Mtn Hitmaker season 6


Female rapper Freda Rhymz has emerged winner of MTN Hitmaker season 6 held at the National Theater on Wednesday, 1st November 2017.

Freda Rhymz beat the likes of Xali who came 4th, Drew the second runner-up, and Yaw Berk third-placed to become the first female rapper to win the biggest musical reality show in Ghana.

Freda Rhymz’s winning prize includes; a recording contract, five thousand US Dollars ($5,000) budgeted music video, cash prize amounts to Hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GH100,000) and of course MTN Hitmaker season 6 winner tag.

Drew, the second runner-up also took home Ten Thousand Ghana cedis(GH10, 000) to support his music career for putting up good performances throughout the competition.

MTN Hitmaker 6, an initiative by MTN Ghana Foundation saw DJ Breezy crowned ‘the beat-maker’ of the competition, beaten the colleague judge of the competition Magnom for his prize.

The grand finale was graced by the former MTN Hitmaker winners Kurl songx, Kuami Eugen, Koontakra and Kidi as they trail the audience with their hit songs.

Judges on the night were Francis Doku, Caroline Sampson and  Kaywa.

The competition began with 16 talented contestants with hopes of becoming the next Hitmaker, but Freda was announced winner on the final night

The MTN Hitmaker season 6 was produced by Charterhouse Live and was hosted by Berla Mundi and Giovani Caleb.
